God is just

“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” Hebrews 6:10 NIV

My DIY project for today:

My DIY project for today: Clean the vacuum cleaner. The Dyson guy is totally right. Vacuum's do lose suction. However, you don't need to go and buy a brand new dyson to get clean carpets. All you have to do is take 20 minutes, sit on the kitchen floor (or outside) and use another vacuum to suck out the hair and stuff you've vacuumed off the floor and cut it out with scissors. I took one piece apart with a screw driver and vacuumed it all out and cut the hair out of the brush. It's pretty nasty, after 6 years of not doing it, but it saves you money AND the best part is I have a new vacuum cleaner. Or at least my carpets think so.

2 projects today. Cleaning my boys room and making a cool "fort" for privacy for each boy. It's a disaster right now. We've had kids most of the weekend and yesterday was a half day at school, so the kids destroyed the house. It's a mess, but someone has to clean it up and I'm not waiting till the kids get home from school. I want it done. Now. I will not let my ADD get the bet of me today. this has to be done.
This is before...
It's a wreck! There are DVD strewed all over the floor too. Ugh. What a disaster. Not for long! Better get to it!

Half way done. One fort down, one to go..

Done with fishing wire, shower curtain rod, 1 twin sheet folded, hooks and more hooks. I already had the sheet. I had to buy fishing wire ($3.00), Hooks ($5.00) and the hook up in the ceiling was 8 for ($.97). The shower curtain rod was ($12.00).
A really cheap and very easy project. Tons of fun for the kids. What kid doesn't want a fort?? Both my boys do! They love the privacy when they need it.

Done! The sheet gives them privacy. And let's face it, It's just plain FUN!

This project took me 2 & 1/2 hours. It took a while longer because I washed the sheets and bedding while I was moving and cleaning and putting up the sheet-curtains. I also put away everything that was on the floor and vacuumed. And moved the posters.
The Finished Project.
I have my 2 boys and then we're always having the kids friends spend the night, so we need an air mattress.
The sheet-curtains make it look a bit messy, but they'll have tons of fun. I'm okay with slightly messy. :)

Cleaning the Closet

It's terrible right??? Soooo messy. Disaster!  Aaaack!!

When I think of a DIY project that I would love to do, (And this may sound really strange to you) but I pray about it and ask God to give me an idea on how to keep it cheap.

This is what I came up with,  I used storage shelves that I already had (I think they were $14.) I split them in half (they are the plastic storage shelves you can find them at Walmart) I took 4  laundry baskets and made my own laundry sorter. Whites, lights, darks and dry cleaning.

Then I did a bunch of sorting of my own in the closet and tidied it up.

Trash bag container

Take a Lysol disinfectant wipes container and peal the label off and use it to store small trash bags or plastic grocery bags.

Bathroom towel storage

How awesome is this? We have a linen closet, but we are the type of people who forget to get a towel BEFORE we get in the shower. LOL So, this works for us. It took all of 2 minutes to hang the baskets.

It's funny because it's true.
